Since joining the firm in 1988, Steven Simpson has served as the lead designer on many of THA's finest public buildings, including libraries and higher education facilities. He approaches each project with a rigorous search for architectural meaning. Steve's work includes the award winning Beaverton City Library in Beaverton, Oregon; the award winning Hillsdale Library (LEED Gold) in Portland; University of Oregon, College of Education in Eugene, Oregon; the Sherwood Civic Building, in Sherwood, Oregon; the Eugene City Hall in Eugene, Oregon; the award winning Gorge Discovery Center; and the Portland Fire Station 1 Design Competition, which came in first place.
Steve received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon. During his tenure, he has been a mentor and teacher to aspiring young architects in the office and at the University of Oregon as adjunct professor for the School of Architecture and Allied Arts.
